Miso ramen is usually associated with winter, but the “Hokkaido Miso Meat & Green Onion Ramen” at Tadokoro Shoten is the kind of bowl you’ll crave all year round. The first thing that stands out is the huge pile of shredded green onions. Coated in a slightly spicy sauce, the crunchy texture and mild heat pair perfectly with the rich miso broth. The Hokkaido miso has a deep, bold flavor, but the onions keep the soup from feeling too heavy, making it surprisingly easy to finish. The seared chashu pork also adds a great smoky aroma. Combined with the sweetness of the miso, it creates a level of satisfaction that goes beyond what most people expect from a chain ramen shop. The thick noodles hold up beautifully against the rich soup, giving you that full “I’m eating real miso ramen” experience in every bite. Personally, this feels like a ramen you’d want even in summer. Sitting in an air-conditioned restaurant while sweating over a hot bowl somehow makes it even better. With its easy roadside access and spacious parking lot along Route 17, it’s also convenient for families, solo diners, and people stopping by after work. If you ever feel like: “I want a seriously rich miso ramen today,” this is a very dependable choice.
